Ale Tales Taproom

San Diego has a great beer scene but had a distinct lack of awesome craft beer taprooms, especially downtown. This taproom has 40 some taps with several coolers to grab beers to go. The selection is awesome, I can’t wait to see what beers they bring in. They support local and independent breweries! They also have a cheese and bread eatery inside with great grilled cheeses.

The staff is knowledgeable, approachable and nice. Can’t recommend this spot enough

Located about 5 blocks from Petco Park right under the shift apartments. Over 50 beers on tap as well as the wide variety beers to go, there’s something for every type of beer lover! We enjoyed the Foreign Objects Mars In Scorpio, A juicy hazy IPA. They share the space with Bread and Cheese eatery which offers grilled cheese sandwiches, cheese curds, pretzels with bear cheese and such types of bites! Stoked this place is now open only 2 blocks away! Also they are dog friendly with a spacious patio!

Great service to show ya the beers ya like and the beers you’ll like but don’t know it yet! I stopped by today with my roommates and we each picked up some goods and the gentleman who rang us up gave us some knowledge on all the beers! So cool!!
We’ll be back again to grab some food and beer soon.

Just visited this place on a whim downtown. Both my friend and I were like kids in a candy store with the nice selection of craft beers many of them hard to find around San Diego. Prices were also better and more fair than Bottlecraft.

This place has a huge selection of beer on tap and almost an entire wall of beer bottles and cans. I’ve been here a few times and the selection is everything. Justin is super nice and very welcoming of questions. So far is recommendations have not disappointed. I will keep coming back and filling my growler until I can come back and sit down.

Dis is da best patio for beers. It’s outside. It’s big. I get good smells. My hooman drinks the beers and gives me the treats. It’s my favorite spot after a walkie!
